After a very breezy start this morning, the wind did not die down. Hopefully, the windy weather will end soon. This week is just flying by and I just can’t wait until our Friday Free For All so here are this week’s Wednesday’s Shorts. I will take a quick look at some of the hot issues of this week and even some of the issues that fly under the radar. I hope you like them.
If any of you Progressives needed a good reason to vote next week, this next article will be just what the doctor ordered. ThinkProgress has researched how many Teapublicans in Congress are in favor of privatizing Social Security. “A thorough review of the voting records and statements of Republicans in Congress reveals a critical mass of GOPers who have supported privatizing Social Security. In total, 47 percent of House Republicans and 49 percent of Senate Republicans are on record supporting the privatization of Social Security. Some, including Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), want to go even further and “wean everybody” off of Social Security altogether.” http://thinkprogress.org/2010/10/27/gop-privatize-socialsecurity/ The article goes even further to explain and list the 104 Teapublican members of the Congress who are in favor of privatizing. You read that correctly. 104 Teapublicans want to hand over billions to Wall Street so they can lose even more of our money! We have to get out and vote to keep these thieves from stealing money from our Senior Citizens.
