Now that it is Wednesday, I would like to take a quick look at some of the hot issue of this week and maybe even some of the issues that fly under the radar. I hope you like them. Let me know what you like and what you don’t like.

It is amazing that the Teapublicans are trying to hang their hats on the issue of contraception!  Especially when they are teamed up with the squeaky clean Catholic Bishops! The Senate is actually holding a vote today on an amendment that would allow any and all corporations the right to exempt themselves from the Obamacare requirement that all health insurance plans include free access to contraception services. Since it is Friday it is time once again for yet another snowy edition of the AWMD Friday Free For All. This is the only time of the week when our arguewithmydad.com readers can control the topic(s) for discussion. All you have to do is get someone else to respond to your suggested topic and then the floor is yours. Don’t be shy and don’t hesitate. The first suggested topic for discussion involves an announcement made by the Obama Administration. “Today, in a huge victory for women’s health, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced that most employers will be required to cover contraception in their health plans, along with other preventive services, with no cost-sharing such as co-pays or deductibles. This means that after years of trying to get birth control covered to the same extent that health plans cover Viagra, our country will finally have nearly universal coverage of contraception.”  Think Progress  (more…)
